Meet Michael Inouye
Research Focus
As a Principal Analyst for ABI Research, Michael Inouye orchestrates research and analysis surrounding the metaverse, including hardware, services, and related technologies. Mike conducts research in foundational services and markets that will play a key role in the buildup to the metaverse, such as Over-the-Top (OTT) video, gaming, digital advertising, social and interactive/immersive media, and collaborative and hybrid workspaces. His background provides him with a solid understanding of markets for a wide variety of content, services, and technologies within the home, workplaces, and public spaces.
Past Experience
Prior to joining ABI Research, Mike was a Research Analyst at MMI and In-Stat, where he researched and produced reports and forecasts in the areas of digital broadcast satellite/terrestrial Set-Top Boxes (STBs), broadband Consumer Premises Equipment (CPE), Solid State Drives (SSDs), and consumer media and content.
Previously, he served for 3 years as a Research Assistant/Research Technician in the Pediatrics Department of the University of Arizona.
Mike is the co-author of two academic papers.
Education
Mike earned a BSc in Biological Sciences from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, concentrating in marketing, finance, and strategy.
